I chose to call this collection Kintsugi, the golden healing, after the ancient Japanese art of mending precious ceramics with gold. I believe that we all carry gold in our hearts, and once we agree to share it with others, we become part of the healing energy of this world.

Beaded, dimensional flower embroidered boroque lace and silk organza ballgown, with tiered cutout skirt, high collar, and long puff sleeves. Shown with cathedral-length mantilla veil with beaded dimensional floral appliqué.

I shot this collection in Jerusalem, the city of gold, because Jerusalem is the city that unites the world’s three great monotheistic religions. It is time to heal all that is broken and spread our threads of gold— and we will be stronger and more beautiful than ever before.
