Not many are born into royalty, but there are a few moments in one's life when they can truly feel royal. For Kendall Danielle, this moment was when she married Kristofer Huber on December 30, 2015 at the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Canada. Built like a castle, the Banff Springs Hotel was the perfect setting for this bride to feel like a queen.
If you want to feel like a queen, then of course, you must dress like a queen. After her father lovingly gifted her and her mother with a trip to New York to find the perfect dress, Kendall went to two bridal stores before visiting Kleinfeld. At the beginning, Kendall had a specific vision in mind when looking for her dress:
“I initially wanted a fitted dress with crystals, cap sleeves, and for it to be backless,” she explains, “I didn't want anything strapless or poofy at all”.
However, after trying on a few strapless ball gowns, Kendall's ideal wedding look began to change. While Kendall did find other dresses at the first bridal boutiques, it was her mother who convinced her that she had not yet found “the one”. It was at Kleinfeld where Kendall's whole idea of the perfect wedding dress was turned upside down.
From the moment she entered Kleinfeld,Kendall remembers the experience as being absolutely wonderful. It was her consultant Paula who recognized the dress in the photo on Kendall's phone as a Pnina Tornai dress and explained that the designer happened to be in the boutique that day! Kendall knew from the moment Paula brought her the dress that it was something special:
“I just noticed the quality of the crystals and the way that they shined. The satin was also just such high quality I was actually nervous to try it (the dress) on,” gushes Kendall.
With the classic Pnina Tornai ball gown on, Kendall was led out into the main area of the salon to show off the gown and to get a better look. It was at this moment that Pnina Tornai caught a glimpse of the beautiful bride and came over for a closer look!
“She (Pnina) was just so wonderful, so kind and passionate,” Kendall recalls, “She asked me 'Are you saying yes to the dress?' then she goes 'Are you saying yes to MY dress?' and I say 'YES' and started balling.”
Upon finding her dream queen gown, Kendall decided everything else needed to be taken up a notch! In love with the crystal embellishments on the gown, especially around the neckline, Kendall opted for an elegant up-do for her hair. She also decided to not carry flowers down the aisle so as not to hide the beautiful gown! Lastly, Kendall had the train elongated to achieve the cathedral look.
To compliment the dazzling embroidery on her gown, Kendall accessorized her wedding day look with show-stopping Jimmy Choo heels.
