It was a gorgeous day for a wedding at the Eagle Oak Golf & Country Club on May 26, 2016. Such an elegant and classy location deserved an equally beautiful wedding and Andrew and Cristal Nierenberg delivered. Draped in a timeless and romantic lace sheath gown, Cristal walked down the aisle ready to wed her true love, Andrew.
Working on Madison Ave. in New York, Cristal was surrounded by bridal salons to shop at. Cristal paid a visit to many bridal salons before ending up at Kleinfeld Bridal still in search of her dream wedding dress. With her mother, grandmother, and sister in tow, Cristal was ready to fall in love with a gown.
Always envisioning herself in a romantic lace gown, Cristal was looking for an elevated and vintage looking lace that stood out from the rest. A fitted gown was her silhouette preference and if the gown had straps then that was even better. With this in mind, Cristal’s consultant began pulling gowns for her to try on.
The very first gown that Cristal tried on was a lace, sheath LOVE by Pnina Tornai gown with a v-neckline, cap sleeves, and a keyhole back. The instant that she tried on the gown and upon walking out to show her family, Cristal knew this gown would be the one. Her mother, who had recently finished chemotherapy, immediately began crying upon seeing Cristal in the gown. There was no doubt in her mind that she had found her dream dress.
Having visited the boutique during a Pnina Tornai trunk show, the price was just right and for the quality and uniqueness of the lace, Cristal felt the gown was worth every penny.
Cristal gushes, “I loved the lace! It was a very old-school lace and honestly the price was so reasonable for what it was, especially compared to other gowns I tried on that weren’t nearly as beautiful but three times the price.”
Only removing the satin underlay from underneath the train of the gown, Cristal’s ideal wedding dress was now a reality. To accomplish the vintage vision that she had in mind, Cristal wore vibrant red lipstick and nail polish to make her look really pop. She wore her hair up in an undone bun to show off the keyhole back of the gown and a custom headpiece as well. With exquisite sapphire earrings, a cuff for her wrist, and a cathedral length veil, Cristal was an exquisite vision when it came time to walk down the aisle.
Surrounded by white flowers and natural greenery, the atmosphere was perfect for Cristal and Andrew’s simple and elegant wedding. With a touch of rusticity, everything really came together as they had hoped. With Cristal in her enchanting wedding gown, there was nothing left but to say “I do” and enjoy a lifetime of love together.
