On July 8, 2017, at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Mt. Kisco, NY, Laura Giardullo walked down the aisle in her grand and statuesque ball gown to marry the man of her dreams, Daniel Giardullo. Looking gorgeously regal with natural touches, Laura was truly a bridal vision on her wedding day.
For Laura, shopping for the ideal gown was a piece of cake. Thanks to social media, Laura had already seen the gown of her dreams before ever setting foot in a bridal salon. Therefore, when she made the trip to Kleinfeld Bridal and spotted her gown out on display, it was a no-brainer for her to try on the dress. Laura tried on the gown and loved it just as much as she thought she would. However, Laura decided to try on a few more gowns since the amount of skin the gown showed made her hesitant to immediately say yes to the dress.
Laura was in luck though because since she had visited the famous bridal store during a Pnina Tornai trunk show, the designer herself was there. Laura got to work with Pnina Tornai to make the gown everything she wanted and more.
For starters, although Laura wanted a strapless gown since her wedding was to take place in the summer, she was fine with the guipure lace sleeves that the gown had. She loved the leafy look of the lace design since it went perfect with the “Midsummer's Night” vibe she wanted for her wedding reception. With Pnina, Laura decided to add more of that lace around the neckline and back of the gown, creating a keyhole back instead of its natural deep-V back. Next, Laura wanted the corset of the gown lined to minimize the amount of skin her wedding dress revealed. Lastly, additional fabric was added under the skirt of the gown to make it look fuller.
To complete her look, Laura was actually gifted a veil from Pnina Tornai to wear on her wedding day! It was a sheer, cathedral length veil that flowed over her dramatic train while still allowing the gown to be seen underneath. Besides the veil ,Laura opted to keep the jewelry to a minimum to keep the focus on the amazing detailing on her wedding dress.
Laura explains, “My dress alone made so much of a statement I wanted to keep everything else simple.”
In her exquisite ball gown, Laura definitely made a statement on her wedding day. Feeling beautiful and grand, Laura truly felt like a bride as she said yes to spending forever with her true love.
