Fragility is our strength.
This simple statement yet complex idea was the thought that inspired Pnina Tornai’s 2018 Fragile Collection. The idea that the things that can break us in life are actually what makes us stronger is such a beautiful thought carefully reflected in the gown designs for this breathtaking collection. Using soft and lustrous fabrics combined with pieces of Swarovski crystals, Pnina Tornai brings her vision to life in ways no other designer can.
Having seen this collection in person, I can personally say that the dresses look positively astounding. It is something special to behold when you see the beautiful designs and the intricate and delicate attention to detail that was taken with each and every gown. Pnina Tornai truly cares about the quality of the work that she is creating for her future Pnina Brides to wear and it shows in every way possible.
In my opinion this collection is the most feminine collection that Pnina Tornai has done to date. Every gown accentuates and celebrates the female form in such an elegant manner, empowering women to embrace their bodies and what makes them so special. Whether it be seductively designed keyhole necklines and backs, form-fitting gowns that ideally hug every curve, or glorious ball gowns that explode with beauty and grace, this collection is the epitome of romantic femininity.
While this collection is full of carefully thought out details such as the silhouettes of the gowns and the placing of crystals to mimic broken glass, my personal favorite trend throughout this collection would have to be the off-the-shoulder necklines. There is something so sensual and delicate yet bold and confident about off-the-shoulder gowns. I find them to be timeless and modern at the same time, and Pnina Tornai effortlessly blends the two concepts and the personifies them with this gorgeous neckline.
Our complexity, our uniqueness and our fragility is our strength. Pnina Tornai has yet again delivered a wedding gown collection that brings these qualities to life in the most captivating way.
